You know why I hate jeans , denims , all the urban names you try to give to this moribund piece of garment?
It’s because all the jeans seem more or less the same. Not just look.Feel and fit also more or less the same.
Cmon, don’t be a denim connoisseur over here and tell me I am just thinking from a bourgeois point of view.
When I think about buying clothes or just ‘think about clothes’ , they should attract me in a mysterious ‘a lonely woman in a trench coat in a bar ‘ but also from across the bright neon lights of the store and just fall in love .Not with the tacky guy selling panties.(Seriously how do they not pity themselves when they are folding thongs ?) But with the fabric.
It can be those like bold prints or the shiny ensemble or the fabric .It can be anything. It can even be some super sight blocking glimmer .But you should believe in going after what you love.I rush across the room and just engulf myself in the fabric.I just feel it up across my hands, try to smother myself in it.Closing my eyes, I imagine the the dress and I are dancing and running across the corn fields basking in sun’s warmth and just enjoying and playing with each other.I, enjoying the warmth and softness of the texture and the garment , feeling flattered to be in my company.
That’s how clothes should feel, like being out with the guy you crush on.Removing the tension of trying to be grammatically correct and throwing around fancy words and fearing the Victoria Secret perfume stopped working and you no longer smell feminine fruity, (yeah, like all female parts smell like berries and strawberries and blueberries! )No checking out your eyeliner hasn’t smudged yet, or you are showing very less cleavage or too much cleavage available to the bartender also.No trotting in high heels just because killer red heels is a sexy term today.
Just being yourself. And just knowing each other better. And feeling each other.Just being in daze because of each others presence.
That’s how your clothes should feel.
When you shop.
When you wear.
When you go crazy in those sales for that one dress.
Because they substitute for the seduction you always crave for.

I agree…it’s surprising that I do because I wear something other than jeans only once every five months or so…
But not by choice, it’s just that I am studying something that requires a LOT of moving around, running and sometimes changing into and out of it…*is a medical student*
But it would be amazing to feel so comfy in my clothes… I have learned to adapt inside jeans but when I do get the chance to change out of them, it’s either into my scrubs, or into those “high heels and worrying over eyeliner” type of clothes so I can take my oral test with my professors.
X___X sometimes it’s not by choice
yeah definitely, it’s so many times not because of choice!
We have our work and not so comfy jobs around.
But we end up sliding into jeans still, unknowingly!
